Looking Back at 2022

As 2023 charges toward us like a bear high on a Schedule II substance, we take this moment to look back at the year that was, and humbly ask for your support to keep making theater in the year to come.

Highlights of 2022:

Our interactive play TEMPING was named “Best of the Fringe” by The Telegraph after a sold-out run at the Edinburgh Fringe. TEMPING next heads to Australia with our producing partners Dutch Kills and the University of Adelaide. To save money and fuel, TEMPING now fits in a travel-friendly shipping container, perfect for a show the Scottish reviewers called “jewel-like” and “a miniature masterpiece.”

We spent a week in Garden City working on GOVERNMENT WEDDING at New York Theatre Workshop’s summer residency. This autofictional play about a wedding that is also a play about a wedding is still in stealth mode but we hope to share it with you next year.

2022 also marked the joyous return of the HEARTH GODS reading series, with evenings full of career advice, sexual fairy tales, new music, ghost stories, and backyard mingling. The next reading is Saturday, January 14 in Brooklyn — just reply to this email if you’d like an invite.

Of course, none of this would be possible without your support. Please consider a tax deductible donation to Wolf 359 and most importantly, we hope to see you at one of our events in 2023.

Uncomfortably sincere and extended eye contact,
Crowley, Rau, and the Wolf 359 team
